English instruction

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. We have two 10-week semesters during the academic year.

Level 1 (Beginner) —  For students who have little or no knowledge of spoken English. Learn basic conversational skills, basic reading, writing and grammar.

Level 2 (Advanced Beginner) — For students who can understand and speak some simple English, has limited vocabulary, and can read and write simple sentences. Emphasis on conversational skills, pronunciation, basic grammar and vocabulary.

Level 3 (Intermediate) — For students who can speak and understand basic conversational English, and can do some basic reading and writing. Sharpen listening and speaking skills, expand conversational vocabulary, and improve  grammar, reading and writing.

Prayer group

This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m.

Advent and Lenten Prayer Programs — Invited guests come to lead us in prayer during these holy seasons. These occur on Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Sewing

Five donated sewing machines are used to teach adolescents and adults as need and interest arise. Call Sister Rena Mae for more information: 508-752-0804.

Yoga (for women)

One day a week women come together to relax and exercise by learning peace and relaxation techniques in classes taught by a certified yoga teacher. Mondays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
